Synopsis: Crime/Thriller. In 2022, the American government responds to escalating crime and overcrowded prisons by sanctioning an annual 12-hour period called The Purge, in which all criminal activity becomes legal. When an intruder breaks into the home of the Sandin family during The Purge, the family must use any means they can to protect themselves.
