- SynopsisBased on the short story `Super-toys last all summer long' by Brian Aldiss. A sci-fi story following the adventures of an android boy in a future of enforced single child families and global warming. (Synopsis) An artificial boy, named David, is placed in the home of a couple whose son Martin has been cryogenically frozen until a cure is developed for the disease he has. David becomes part of the family but tensions arise when Martin returns and eventually, David is abandoned. He takes up with another robot, Gigolo Joe, who has been designed as a pleasure machine for his owners. Joe and David are subsequently rounded up and taken to the sinister 'Flesh Fair'. (Synopsis)
