Synopsis: Romantic drama. In a charming forest, at the time of the druids, the shepherd Céladon and the shepherdess Astrée fall in love. Deceived by another to consider Céladon guilty of unfaithfulness, Astrée faces him, telling him she never wishes to see him again. Céladon, in despair, throws himself into a river. He is thought dead, but in truth is secretly saved by nymphs. Forced by his promise never to show himself to Astrée again, Céladon must pass many tests to end the curse.
