- SynopsisPeriod drama. A love affair blossoms between a young man, Solomon, and Gaenor, a young woman he meets during the course of his job as a salesman during the early part of the century. Solomon is from a Jewish background and feels he has to hide this, particularly because Gaenor's brother is violently anti-Semitic; meanwhile trouble is brewing in the community due to an imminent pit strike.
