- SynopsisProduction footage for the OMNIBUS programme on Quentin Tarantino (tx. 25.10.94) of interviews with David and Sandy Wasco, production designer and set decorator respectively, on RESERVOIR DOGS. They talk about how they first became involved with Quentin Tarantino and the film, describing having to work on a fairly small budget, and scouting for locations around Los Angeles. They explain what they think is distinctive about Tarantino's scripts - their pace, energy, and unpredictability, which is what attracted them to working with him. They then go on to explain what Tarantino is like to work with, and how he conveyed his ideas as regards the look of the film by both describing or showing other films and refering to pop culture. The Wasco's talk about screen violence and how RESERVOIR DOGS is not as violent as people claim, and that there are far more violent films shown in cinemas that get no adverse publicity. Notes: There are fleeting references to the design work of PULP FICTION in the interview, but the main focus is on RESERVOIR DOGS. The transcript of this interview held in Special Collections mistakenly refers to David and Sandy Wasco as the producers of RESERVOIR DOGS. (NFA Catalogue)
