The Sepoy's Wife (Original title)

Shotlist: The child of a sepoy is dangerously ill. Despite her husband's prejudices, the sepoy's wife goes to the regimental doctor for assistance. He cures the child and earns her gratitude. The sepoy, however, is filled with indignation and incites his fellow soldiers to mutiny. His wife overhears them plotting and goes to warn the doctor's wife and child, hiding them in cave. The mutineers attack the regimental quarters, setting fire to the doctor's house. The doctor returns and finds his home burnt but the sepoy's wife is at hand to guide him to his family and later guides them all to the fort where they take refuge with the regiment. The mutineers attack the fort and things are looking desperate when the sepoy's wife offer to fetch help. She is lowered over the wall and contacts a further force which effects the relief of the besieged regiment (876ft).
