Synopsis: Period drama (continuing the story told in 'Jean de Florette', 1986). The hunchback's daughter, Manon, is now grown up and a shepherdess, and Ugolin falls hopelessly in love with her. When she learns of the reason for her father's death, she determines to take revenge on the villagers who were behind it. Little do the perpetrators realize how far-reaching, and how gravely ill-advised, their scheme will prove to have been.
