Synopsis: Drama. Daniel Plainview transforms himself from a lowly silver miner raising a child on his own into a self-made oil tycoon. When Plainview gets a mysterious tip-off that oil can be found in a small town out West, he heads there with his boy, H.W., to take their chances in Little Boston. In this town, where the main excitement centres around the church of charismatic preacher Eli Sunday, Plainview makes his lucky strike.
