Synopsis: Musical. A tale of American high-school classroom rivalries and romance. The school basketball star meets a beautiful bookworm type at a New Year's party. When term starts he discovers that she is a new student at the school and other classmates are annoyed by their friendship as, traditionally, they tend to stay in their own cliques, with sporty types not mixing with clever academic types. The two find they have a talent for singing and want to try out for the school musical play, again, breaking stereotypes and causing resentment.
