Synopsis: Based on a true story of the life and tragic death of transgender Brandon Teena. Hoping to start a new life where he is unknown, Brandon moves to Falls City, Nebraska where he makes new friends with ex-convicts John and Tom and their friends Candace and Lana. Brandon falls in love with Lana, but eventually they find out that he was biologically a woman and all but Lana turn on him viciously with tragic consequences.
