Synopsis: Shortly after becoming Super Middleweight champion of the world, Rhode Island boxer Vinny Pazienza, breaks his neck in a near-fatal car accident. Told he may never walk again, let alone fight, Vinny sinks into depression, refusing to face up to the harsh reality of his situation. But months into his rehabilitation regime and unbeknownst to his friends and family, he resumes work in the gym with his personal trainer Kevin Rooney with the aim of making a return to the ring.
