New Year's Day (Original title)
Date: 1999 (Copyright)

Countries: United Kingdom, France

Director: Suri Krishnamma

Synopsis: Drama. Two young boys, best friends, are on their way to a skiing holiday in France. Tragedy strikes when there is an avalanche, and only Jake and Steven, the two pals, and an adult chaperone, are left alive. The pressure and media attention surrounding the two boys on their return prove hard to bear, and before long they are beginning to consider suicide as the only way out. Before doing so, Steven proposes that they live out a year as though each day were their last - which comprises performing 12 acts that were thought of as last wishes by their dead classmates.
