Synopsis: Dora is a letter-writer-for-hire in Rio de Janeiro's main railway station. A poor boy, who wanted Dora to send a letter to his absent father, is approached by Dora, initially for money. However, Dora becomes more and more interested in the boy and goes with him in search of his missing father.Synopsis: Drama about a lonely and embittered ex-teacher who scrapes a meagre living by writing letters for the poor and illiterate in Rio de Janeiro's main railway station. After one of her customers is killed outside the station, she reluctantly becomes involved in helping the woman's young son to search for his long-lost father.
