Synopsis: Set in 1962. Darman, a member of Spain's clandestine Communist Party, returns to Madrid after a long exile with orders to kill Andrade, the mole accused of betraying other militants. Darman elicits the help of a young woman, Rebeca. Interspersed in this plot is a flashback to Darman's experiences 15 years earlier when he mistakenly executed another suspected traitor.
