- SynopsisReview and documentary on the Warsaw Autumn Festival held in 1977. The Festival is a celebration of contemporary music, and is a rare event in the Eastern Bloc, where individualism and experimentation in the arts is usually frowned upon. The documentary includes comments and music from the Polish composers Lutoslawski and Penderecki, as well as the exile Panufnik (whose work was performed in Poland for the first time in 20 years at the Festival). The documentary surveys the Polish arts renaissance and its hopes for the future. (NFA Catalogue)
