- SynopsisIn a Los Angeles hotelroom, Pink, a burnt-out rock star, remembers his past. Deprived of his father through his death in World War Two, Pink has been raised by his mother. School drives him to revolt. Marrying in the 60s, his wife soon leaves him for another man. Finding fame, his alienation merely increases, the line between reality and fantasy blurs - until he has to confront the wall he has built around himself. (Synopsis)

Pink Floyd The Wall (1982) - Documentation - Material relating to the film 'Pink Floyd - The Wall', directed by Alan Parker and inspired by the eponymous rock album created by Pink Floyd (Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason). It tells the story of the life and descent into madness of a musician, played by Bob Geldof, and includes an animated sequence based on the drawings of Gerald Scarfe, some of which had been originally created for the Pink Floyd’s album concert tour February 1980 - June 1981. The film was shot in England between September and December 1981 and premiered at the Cannes festival on 23rd May 1982. Includes scripts, notes, pitch, finance, casting, correspondence, photographs and stills, advertising, posters and screenings, as well as articles about the making of the film.
