- SynopsisThe first United Nations space flight arrives on the moon to find a tattered Union Jack and a claim of annexation dated 1899. On their return the experts find the sole survivor of the expedition, Arnold Bedford who describes his experiences. Accompanying his scientific neighbour, Cavor and joined by Kate, his American girl friend, he had reached the moon and encountered the antlike inhabitants, the Selemites. Cavor made contact with the leaders who were anxious to learn about the earth. He told them about war and other human activities. Bedford and Kate managed to escape, leaving Cavor behind. The modern scientists invite Bedford to watch the moon with modern instruments which reveal the collapse of the Selemites and total destruction taking place. (Synopsis)
