- SynopsisWar adventure-drama. In spring 1917, two young British soldiers are given the task of delivering a message to a colonel some distance away, across country, warning him not to go ahead with a planned push forward as the Germans are planning to ambush them. With 1,600 men's lives depending on the success of their mission, the soldiers, Lance Corporal Schofield and the chatty Lance Corporal Blake, set off and traverse much dangerous terrain, with some deadly encounters and attacks, and moments of human contact, until at long last the message can be delivered, if time still allows. - Work historyShooting note: Though filmed, like most films, over numerous shots, the film is designed to look as though the action is taking place all in one continuous shot, with one exception where a character blacks out and comes to later.
