- SynopsisIn 2013 Edward Snowden, an intelligence operative working as a contractor for the National Security Agency (NSA), is in Hong Kong, where he is preparing to disclose thousands of classified documents that reveal the covert surveillance programmes run by the NSA and other intelligence agencies to his collaborators: the documentary filmmaker Laura Poitras, activist journalist Glenn Greenwald and the ‘Guardian’ journalist Ewen MacAskill.
