- SynopsisBARROW-IN-FURNESS. AERIAL DREADNOUGHT. The great naval air-ship is launched at last." (2). Two shots of the airship at her moorings on the river (36). [22/5/1911]. [Also contained in PATHÉ'S ANIMATED GAZETTE NO. 111] "LONDON. The Kaiser sight-seeing in London. Arrival at the naval and Military Tournament of the King, the Kaiser, the Queen, German Empress, Prince of Wales and Princesss Mary" (47). A procession of seven carriages arrives at an entrance. King George V, Kaiser Wilhelm II and the Prince of Wales (later Edward, Duke of Windsor) alight. From the second carriage step Queen Mary, the Empress Auguste Victoria, Princess Victoria Louise and Princess Mary. Greeting the royal visitors are Major General A.E. Cordington, Major General the Hon. A.H. Henniker and Colonel Wallis King (124). [19/5/1911]. [21/5/1911] CS Emile Train standing by the propellor of his monoplane (141). "...his departure..." (145). ELS of the monoplane taking off (159). "THE ACCIDENT. Mr. Berteaux the minister has been killed. Mr Monis, the president of the cabinet-council has been seriously hurt." (167). ELS of the airfield (the Eiffel Tower can just be seen in the background). The plane makes a broad, left-ward sweep of the airfield (coming to camera) but crashes into the ground and into a group of people. Other groups of people rush to the crashed plane (190). MS wreckage (196). "The people invade the "Aerodrome", the soldiers being unable to prevent it." (201). Hoardes of people rush across the airfield; four cavalry men charge to stop them, but fail (212). "NEW-YORK The American Suffragettes in their manifestations" (218). HS parade of Suffragettes, led by a male brass band, march down a crowd-lined street. The first group of Suffragettes carry a banner `College Women' (233). "STRASBURG (GERMANY). Inauguration of the statue of William I in the presence of H.M. the Emperor of Germany William II" (242). [23/5/1911]. Unveiling of statue seen over heads of soldiers (252).
