- SynopsisGregory Underwood teaches English at the Cumbernauld school where he was formerly a pupil. Obsessed with his 16-year old pupil Frances, Gregory ignores the advances of his fellow teacher Bel. Frances and fellow pupil Douglas want Gregory to help them to obtain evidence against Gregory’s former schoolfriend Fraser Rowan, a local businessman who they believe is manufacturing and exporting torture equipment. Despite his reluctance, Gregory agrees to help the youngsters and finds that himself involved in a fight against political injustice and the abuse of human rights. (Synopsis)
