(Synopsis) A dramatisation of the life of the 12th century nun, Sister Hildegard of Bingen, who was a composer, scientist, painter and visionary. Arraigned by her Abbott for harbouring a suspected witch and for her "false" visions, Hildegard was eventually vindicated and founded her own women-only religious community at Bingen on the Rhine. She was born in 1098 and died at the age of 81. Includes unaccompanied singing of some of her music, drawings of her visions and factual information about her life and work and the challenges she faced. (Synopsis)
