- SynopsisAdventure thriller. A young couple on a scuba-diving holiday in Bermuda attempt to salvage valuable items from an old wreck, under the watch of a menacing gangster. Gail Berke and David Sanders, on holiday in Bermuda, go diving round an old wreck balanced on the edge of a reef, and they find what seems to be an old coin, and also a small ampule of morphine. Local gangster Henri Bondurant, known as Cloche, realises that the ampule could be one of many thousands, (long-lost medical supplies from the Second World War), from which he can produce heroin to sell for a fortune on the streets of New York. Gail and David seek the help of rugged islander Romer Treece, whose expertise in maritime lore leads them to realise that there is more to the wreck than meets the eye, as the coin, or medallion, suggests the presence of a second wreck, a galleon sunk in 1715 which may contain a vast hoard of Spanish gold. Treece tries to keep Cloche at bay long enough for him and the couple to salvage the morphine (to keep it from Cloche's hands) and any Spanish treasure they might find. (Synopsis)
