- SynopsisBiographical drama. In 1983, Eric Lomax, a middle-aged railway enthusiast meets and falls in love with Patti. But on their wedding night, Eric suffers graphic and paralyzing nightmares. He provides Patti no explanation, but eventually she discovers that her husband was captured by the Japanese during the Second World War and was forced to work on the construction of the Thailand- Burma Railway. In an attempt to save the marriage, Patti begins to search for the man who tortured her husband forty years previously. (Synopsis)
