They are accidentally transported into the world of humans when the evil Dr.N.Icely steals the object of Gaya's power source and equilibrium for his own wicked ends. He plans to use it to strengthen his power transporter which can transport people or things to and from fictional television worlds and the human world. He intends to take his revenge on television viewers after his own science programme was axed due to falling ratings and the popularity of the Boo and Zino stories in Gaya. Boo, Zino, Alanta and the Snurks team up to thwart his plans, rescue their creator, retrieve the Gayan power source, and return to Gaya before the next episode of the series is due to start.
