- SynopsisComedy drama. The character at the centre of the story is a little boy, Masao, who lives with his grandmother. Since his father has apparently been killed in a car crash and his mother has to live in another town because of her job, the lonely Masao decides to attempt to find her with the aid of a photograph and an address. With this in mind he is accompanied by Kikujiro, a middle-aged man told by his wife to look after Masao. Together the two strike up a relationship as they undertake their lengthy journey. (Synopsis)
