- SynopsisLt. Col. Picquart, a bigoted aristocrat, is the key figure in the Dreyfus affair, one of the most important political scandals in history. After Alfred Dreyfus is imprisoned for espionage, the anti-Semitic Picquart discovers his innocence. After finding documents which incriminate the loyal Dreyfus as a traitor to his country have been falsified by his own superiors, he is torn between loyalty to his army and his obligation to the truth.
