- SynopsisThe Charlie Chaplin character is pictured visiting Mars and other planets in the universe. Second part of A GENI AND A GENIUS (Series 1). Main title and credits (14). "At the `Milky Way' just in time to catch the Mars express". The bird, the geni in disguise, drops Charlie into the funnel of the Mars express and it speeds off through the heavens. "Milk-O!-No". A maid attempts to milk a cow; the cow's legs grow longer, then shorter, then longer again until a large drop of milk is dropped into the pale. "En route". The train speeds through the stars and Charlie appears in the funnel together with the smoke. "Get off the line Great Bear". The train is stopped by the Great Bear (drawn as an outline of stars), and they fight. The Bear eats the train but regurgitates the train. "The geni again to the rescue. All clear!". A large star appears and in it the head of the geni which makes the Bear disappear. The train moves off guided by the star. Still in the funnel Charlie views Mars through his telescope."Time travels on...." Father time sits upon a penny farthing made from a clock face. The train speeds on. "But a storm was gathering". Lightening flashes and clouds gather. "And Jupiter Pluvius did his worst". Jupiter, sitting on a cloud, uses a watering can to make it rain. Charlie emerges from the funnel as the rain falls, he dries his clothes while he shivers and the temperature drops to zero and he begins to freeze. "Jupiter Pluvius went on strike". The sun rises above Jupiter as he rests with his feet up on a cloud. A bird lands on his head and tries to catch the smoke rings from Jupiter's pipe. The bird then lays eggs on the brim of his hat. The wind blows Charlie's clothes away and he chases them still covered in ice. He wishes he had a magnet and the geni duly grants one. With the magnet Charlie retrieves his cothes. Dressed, he stands on a cloud and falls off into the funnel of the train. The train passes the legs of Venus who kicks a star which causes a comet (638ft). Incomplete. (Shotlist)
