Pavlova - A Woman For All Time - Historical biopic [film possibly shown in parts?] Based on the life of the legendary Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Pavlova became an internationally regarded ballerina after her performances in 1909 with the Diaghilev's Ballet in Paris and in London and eventually formed her own troupe. She made a successful world tour together with Viktor d'Andre, who was her husband and manager. Written & directed by Emil Lotianou; executive producers: Frixos Constantine; Serafim Karalexis; Michael Powell [Powell was also western version supervisor] ; Erik Waisberg cast: Galina Belyaeva [Pavlova], Lina Buldakova [Pavolova as a child], Sergey Shakurov [Mikael Fokine] , Vsevolod Larionov [Sergei Diaghilev], James Fox [Victor D'Andre], Jacques Debary [Saint-Sans] The papers include a huge number of script drafts at all stage of development. Powell was responsible for the English version of the Russian script and it seems to have gone through many different processes. Where possible the scripts have been arranged chronologically, but for some which are undated it is not possible to establish where exactly they were in the development of the finished script. Powell's involvement in the project lasted for six years, with numerous re-writes. - MLP-1-1-81
Scripts and story development - Script drafts, partials and synopses for all stages of development. There are multiple drafts, all different, many are in manauscript form in Michael Powell's handwriting. Where possible the drafts are arranged chronologically, however some have no date and have had to be approximated - therefore their position in the sub-series may have no special significance - MLP-1-1-81-1
