- SynopsisInterview with Bob Dylan about his life and work, and his appearance in the film HEARTS OF FIRE. (Synopsis) Since her first appeared in the late '50s, Bob Dylan has achieved a status far beyond that of a pop superstar. His admirers regard him as a major contempoary poet: certainly he's one of the great singer/songwriters of the century. He has appeared in very few films and, in a new cinema release, _Hearts of Fire_, which opens next month in London, he takes his first acting role for ten years. He plays a former rock idol, Billy Parker, tempted out of retirement to play one last concert. Dylan is known for his extreme reluctance to be filmed at work or to give interviews on camera. _Omnibus_ was given unique access to the set of _Hearts of Fire_ and trailed its quarry from London to Toronto. Eventually, Dylan agreed to talk on his own terms, and very much in his own way. -- _Radio Times_, ?? September 1987 (Synopsis)
