- SynopsisStory of teenage girl and her younger brother, lost in the Australian wilds, after their father has driven them into the countryside and then tried to shoot them and commit suicide. They struggle to find their way home, totally unprepared for survival having been brought up in a wealthy home in the city. An aborigine boy on his 'walkabout' finds them and befriends them, helping them to find water and food. Their survival depends on him and he takes a shine to the girl. She is troubled and emotionally confused by his proximity and advances, and their cultural differences and language barrier mean that neither can fully understand the feelings of the other.
