- SynopsisTRICK FILM. A witch's kiss transforms a young man into a handsome prince. THE WITCH'S KISS. A witch is sitting in the corner of a cave. Around the walls are snakes, owls and cats. She gets up and talks to some of her snakes, suddenly there is a puff of smoke and a devil-like man appears (38). The witch gives him a glass jar to hold and then after tapping it with a stick the jar grows in size and bubbles wildy on burning coals (53). The witch touches the jar and inside appears a beautiful woman, she disppears and is replaced by a spider in a large spider's web, this in turn disappears and the devil man is now in the jar, jumping frantically. After the devil vanishes the jar returns to normal size and is in the devil's hands once more(98). Following a dramatic explosion, the devil is gone and there enters into the cave a young man. The man looks around nervously. The witch indicates that he should kiss her on the cheek, he does so and is transformed into a handsome prince (146). The witch kisses him and becomes a beautiful woman. The two walk a little in the cave and the witch casts the devil (who has suddenly re-appeared) out. The prince sits on a chair and the witch prepares a show for him. A monster's head, blazing with fireworks appears at the back of the cave, out of the mouth of which issue dancing girls (249). More girls are then seen floating in the sky, and then dancing on a sparkling platform. The devil appears once again carrying two flaming sticks with which he dances. The prince and the witch rise to the roof on the monster's head and watch as the girls tumble from the beasts head and the devil dances (363ft). (Shotlist)
