Synopsis: A group of people on an inter-planetary flight to another life have been selected by computer but still clash in temperament.Synopsis: In the year 2014 a spaceship with a crew of eight men and women and their children is sent on a mission to colonise 'Earth 2', a planet outside our solar system. The ship also carries four human bodies that have been put into artificial sleep. They will be re-animated once the spaceship has reached its destination. Tensions on board arise when one member of the crew, Dr. Helen Thomas, gets seriously ill. As only strong and healthy people are wanted to colonise the new planet, there is no medication available on board. Captain Ralston refuses to return to earth to get medical treatment for Helen. She commits suicide, a mutiny breaks out and Ralston is kept as a prisoner. He manages to escape with the help of a loyal member of the crew and orders the execution of Doc Thomas, Helen's husband, who, in the captain's opinion, is responsible for the mutiny. Before he is sent to death, Thomas is ordered to re-animate one of the human beings. Pointing out the dangers of setting this process in motion long before it was planned for, Thomas initially refuses the order, but obeys in the end. The experiment fails, the person who is re-animated turns into a mindless monster and kills the captain. In the end, Doc Thomas is in command of Spaceflight IC-1.
