Shotlist: PROPAGANDA. [N.B. this film consists of reconstructed material]. A Fascist initiation ceremony: shadowy figures dressed in white robes, their faces covered by hoods with a skull and crossbones on the front, move in procession carrying torches of fire. A youth is brought before the leader. A revolver is pressed against his chest and he is forced to pledge himself against anarchists, communists, strike agitators and the Roman Catholic hierarchy. One of the Fascists takes the bullet out of the revolver and gives it to the youth as his badge of membership. The scene changes to the offices of a district attorney Charles Poole who is trying to get rights for workers. He is visited by two employers who threaten him. Later, Fascists take him away bound and gagged and shoot him. Shots of Fascists dressed in their robes whilst commentary asks who are the Black Legion and who benefits by their actions. (515ft).
