Synopsis: Seventeen year old girl runs away from drunken stepfather and arrives in Soho, London, where she gets a job working in a coffee bar. Becoming romantically involved with a pop singer from a night club, she marries him only to discover that he is a one-time member of a Soho gang, now turned burglar. He is fatally wounded while committing a burglary and she is left pregnant.
