Synopsis: An investigation into the violence inflicted by top chefs on their kitchen staff. Looks at the L'Ortolan restaurant where the chef John Burton-Race, is famous for the brutal way he treats his staff. Also looks at the violent practices of top chefs Marco Pierre White and Gary Holyhead, head chef at L'Escargot, Soho. All three kitchens were filmed secretly. Features contributions from; Jonathan Brown, Nick Aiello (former L'Ortolan employees), Paul Heathcote (Paul Heathcote's Restaurant), Tessa Bramley (Top Chef, The Old Vicarage, Sheffield), Raymond Blanc (top chef, injured when young and in training), Richard Shepherd (President, Academie Culinaire).
