Synopsis: Alan Crabbe, a gauche nineteen year old youth, stumbles into trouble when he dates Eileen, a cafe waitress. She joins Ronnie and Brian, two other friends, and Alan dances with Beth. Next week the same thing happens. Failing to seduce Eileen, Alan again meets her at a party and is caught with her by Ronnie to Beth's discomfiture. A few nights later Ronnie and a gang beat Alan up. He is saved by Eileen but returns to Beth who alone can put him at his ease.
