Synopsis: Acker Bilk and his jazz band are released from jail, achieve fame and eventual re-imprisonment.Synopsis: Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band, a trad jazz band formed in prison, are allowed to undertake a tour of other prisons as part of their rehabilitation. Following this success they begin a tour of other venues under the management of Derek, who turns out to be a crook who wants to use the criminal skills of the band to rob the venues at which they perform. However, none of the band can actually crack safes, which is what Derek wanted, so he does this himself. Finally caught in possession of a stolen necklace, Derek, and Acker and his band, end up back in jail.
