"Exclusive `Mirror' pictures in colour of the world famous Gilbert & Sullivan opera, showing the new designs by Mr. Charles Ricketts, A.R.A.". `The Mikado' is dressed in 1720 period costumes, the excerpts from `The Mikado' include three shot in stencil colour. Charles Ricketts is also seen at work. The Mikado scenes are: Opening chorus `If you want to know who we are'. Entry of the schoolgirls `Comes a train of little ladies'. `Three little maids from school are we'. Scene with KoKo, Nanki Poo, Pooh Bah and others. Entry of Katisha `Your revels cease'. `Braid the raven hair'. Entrance of the Mikado and Katisha `Miya sama, miya sama'; `From every kind...' `The Flowers that bloom in the spring, tra la'.
