- SynopsisDrama set in Rooihoek, a remote area of Zululand and centred around a thirty year old woman named Yesterday who lives with her seven year old daughter Beauty. Yesterday's husband is away working as a miner in Johannesburg. When she finds out that she has HIV she journeys to the city to inform her husband who is the source of her infection but he gives her a brutal beating and sends her home. Yesterday tries to conceal her condition from the rest of the village and when her husband returns home to die, she nurses him and then buries him. Her main concern is her daughter who is a year away from starting school and Yesterday's goal is to be with Beauty on her first day at school along with all the other proud mothers. (Synopsis)
