- SynopsisIn the second part of this series Hywel James follows the beef trail and considers how far beef travels before it goes on sale in a South Wales supermarket. A cow reared on a farm in Burry Port is followed to Caernarfon for slaughter, back to Cross Hands near Llanelli for processing and packaging then to a distribution outlet at Tewkesbury and finally to Somerfields supermarket at Tonypandy. A total distance of around 600 miles. Also, curds and whey - how milk gets from the cow into Caerphilly, Cheshire and Cheddar cheese. (NFA Catalogue)
