- SynopsisDavid Frost introduces the programme as the first official night of colour television. Murray Head sings Jesus Christ Superstar. Leslie Mitchell introduces the second part. David Frost talks about radio and early television with Jimmy Edwards and Peter Cavanagh on stage and a celebrity audience: Jon Pertwee, Ben Lyons, June Whitfield and Dick Bentley (they do a little bit of a sketch), Sam Costa and Richard Murdoch about Much Binding in the Marsh. Stainless Stephen (Arthur Clifford Baines) comes on to do a standup routine. David Frost continues to talk to the audience: Bob and Alf Pearson (they perform a short number), clip of Adele Dixon singing on the opening night of BBC television, David Frost talks to Adele Dixon, Dallas Bower, Jasmine Bligh, Eric Robinson (violinist in the clip with Adele Dixon), Doris Rogers, Peter Brough (he does a short routine with Archie), Tessie O'Shea performs a song.
