- SynopsisDrama. Twelve-year-old Miles is a bright child and a gifted jazz musician. But he also suffers from Tourette's syndrome - spasmodic attacks of a nervous tic and uncontrollable (often crude) speech patterns. At school he is teased, but at the legendary Vanguard club in Greenwich Village the old jazz players treat the boy as one of them. When Miles meets his idol, saxophonist Tyrone Pike, who also suffers from the same condition, Miles is overjoyed, especially when Tyrone and Miles' divorced mother fall in love. Sadly this doesn't last, and Miles begins to wonder if he is the reason. (Synopsis)
