- SynopsisDocumentary series on the changing identity of Europe. In this programme a look at the Russians, now the foreigners in Latvia since Latvia became independent. Russians make up nearly half of the population of the country and two thirds of Riga. Kershaw speaks to Latvians who feel that the Russians are not making sufficient effort to become Latvian (few of then speak the language) and to Russians who feel they are being punished by the Latvians for past history.
