- SynopsisAn estate agent in a small English town is bored with his life. When an attractive stranger woman crosses his path, he gets mixed up with an escaped criminal and some stolen diamonds. Thinking he's guilty of murder, he nearly flees the country with the woman but everything is straightened out and he returns to his wife and suburban life. (Synopsis)
- Work historyThe film was directed by Cy Endfield who had been blacklisted by the House Un-American Activities Committee and as such was forced to use a "front" to ensure that the film could be released in the United States. In this case the "front" was documentary film-maker Charles De La Tour, credited on-screen as Charles De Lautour.
