- Work historyMost of the film was shot in 1971 in Yugoslavia and edited by Malcolm Cooke. In 1972 the film was not doing well in previews and the company Hemdale wanted a recut, but as Malcolm Cooke was not available at the time, John Inglis was hired. "We spent many weeks recutting and deleting scenes and actually reordered rushes for some scenes and started cutting them again. As I recall Peter Duffell also shot some additional scenes which were incorporated, and all changes were agreed with Malcolm [Cooke] later. The film was released in 1973."[Information provided by editor John Inglis, January 2023]
