BBFC: submitted with a running time of 104m 1s and classified 'X' in March 1970 under the title 'Tam Lin' with one cut. The new 'AA' category was subsequently introduced and the film re-submitted under the title 'The Ballad of Tam Lin' and received a 'AA' certificate. Film was submitted for a third time in 1977 by National Telefilms Assoc. Inc. under the title 'The Devil's Widow' and it is this version which finally received a release in the UK.
