- SynopsisThe dress shop owned by Madame Louise is taken over by bookmaker Trout, both to cover the debts owed him by Louise and as a means to hide away from gangster Felling whom he owes money. Trout tries to take the shop more up-market, to the indignation of staff members Penny and Mr. Pastry, the latter losing his job in the process. However, the two manage to win enough money on the horses for Madame Louise to regain her shop, with Trout ending up as the doorman. (Synopsis)
