- SynopsisLooks at the new free-form Jazz clubs (especialy the Beat Bop club in Camden Town), the fans, and one of the bands Rip, Rig and Panic. Interviews with Richard Williams (music critic The Times), Dave Kitson (independent record producer and label owner), Chris Hunter (Sax-player) and with Jan Kopinsky (musician). Also interviews with members of Rip, Rig and Panic and Biting Tongues. Half way through the program a short history and its image problems of jazz with archive footage of a swingband, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker and a minute of Miles Davis at Ronnie Scott's (1969). It ends with Rip, Rig and Panic and the new brand of jazz by the likes of Pinski Zoo, Pig Bag and their future. (NFA Catalogue)
