Synopsis: Eccentric single mother Lyn and her teenage daughter Iona have an extremely close relationship. When they move to a Midlands town, Iona tries to win the approval of a clique of girls at her new school and she begins to distance herself from her mother. Lyn starts to feel excluded from her daughter’s life and struggles to settle in to her new surroundings after she is mercilessly taunted by her neighbour. As a rift develops between Lyn and Iona, they retreat further into their own respective fantasy worlds, with disastrous consequences.
